baby viking knot hat
Here is the baby version of the viking cable hat. I made an interesting top for it and added a tassel. As Willa outgrew it I added some earflaps and a tie to keep it on her head. I appear to have put it on the doll backwards. Oops.
I'm a stay at home mother of two, who loves to read, sew and collect agates on the beach. I sew on a vintage Kenmore sewing machine and I own a Singer serger which has never left its box. My mother taught me to sew as a child --and then I stopped. I started again in 2009 when I bought the book Sewing Clothes Kids Love and started having way too much fun with fabric.
My sewing machine (for those who obsess about these things) is a 158.1765180, made in Taiwan in 1987. It is absolutely wonderful.
