Pleated skirt
I cut this skirt out last year and just got around to assembling it this weekend. I don't love the fabric or the waistband. I do like the twirl though. I might make a different version of this with a more fitted waistband in a different fabric.
I'm a stay at home mother of two, who loves to read, sew and collect agates on the beach. I sew on a vintage Kenmore sewing machine and I own a Singer serger which has never left its box. My mother taught me to sew as a child --and then I stopped. I started again in 2009 when I bought the book Sewing Clothes Kids Love and started having way too much fun with fabric.
My sewing machine (for those who obsess about these things) is a 158.1765180, made in Taiwan in 1987. It is absolutely wonderful.
