Holly hobby
I made sunbonnets for the girls and they love them. They crack me up. They were easy to make, but, as always after I finished them I could see where I should have done things differently. The bonnets are pretty hysterical combined with the feliz dresses. This morning Willa put on her feliz over an orange and pink flowered shirt and topped the ensemble with her sunbonnet. It was a big pink explosion.
I'm a stay at home mother of two, who loves to read, sew and collect agates on the beach. I sew on a vintage Kenmore sewing machine and I own a Singer serger which has never left its box. My mother taught me to sew as a child --and then I stopped. I started again in 2009 when I bought the book Sewing Clothes Kids Love and started having way too much fun with fabric.
My sewing machine (for those who obsess about these things) is a 158.1765180, made in Taiwan in 1987. It is absolutely wonderful.
How cute. Your girls look as if they are straight out of the series "Little House on the Prairie" with Laura Ingalls.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely darling!! Great work! And... I want one.
